For those wanting an intrepid adventure, to experience the jungle, and gain insight into the indigenous culture and the economy of Vanuatu then this is the package for you. On arrival you will visit Vanuatu's largest coconut plantation and copra production plant, the Malekula Cultural Centre, colourful produce market, and the Malampa Handicraft Centre. The following day visit the Small Nambas at Rano to watch them dance and learn about their traditional ways of life. Then take a boat to beautiful Wala Island to see an historic Nasara and wonder at the monolithic pig counting stones shifted by manpower and ‘magic’. Complete your day snorkeling to see an abundance of diverse marine life off the island's white coral beach. Transferring north you will commence the scenic Dogs Head Walk – traversing the top of the island staying the night in a local village before arriving at Tenmaru to watch the sunset while taking a dip in the refreshing ocean waters. The following day join a mystical tour to see ancient rock art inside Pialo Cave – the ‘Spirits’ Cave – then it's free time in the afternoon for swimming or relaxing. The next morning trek south through Big Nambas territory taking in the jungle scenery before reaching the black sand beach near Losinwei. After a restful night at Dram-Dram Bungalows your intrepid adventure concludes with a visit to the Nasara of the Big Nambas Amokh people to learning of their unique customs through tribal dance and stories.
7 days and 6 nights including breakfasts staying at Nabelchel Bungalows, Nawori Seaview Bungalows, Kalele Village, either Big Nambas Bungalow or Pialo Kastom Village Guesthouse, and Dram-Dram Bungalows. Please note that lunch and dinner are not included in the package price (except when trekking) and are to be paid for directly.
